It's the sinking feeling in your stomach: you hit "Delete," emptied the trash, and then realized—that was the wrong version of the report. Panic sets in. But with Online Cloud Solutions, deletion is rarely forever.
Understanding the Trash Can
Online Cloud Solutions keeps deleted files in the Trash for 30 days by default (up to 180 days for Enterprise plans). To restore:
- Go to Trash in the left sidebar.
- Locate your file. You can search or sort by deletion date.
- Right-click and select Restore.
Advanced Recovery: Version History
Sometimes you didn't delete the file, but you overwrote the good content with bad edits. This is where Version History shines. Right-click any file -> Version History to see a timeline of changes. You can preview old versions and promote any of them to be the "current" one.
Pro Tip: If you are on a Team plan, Admins can often restore files even after a user has permanently deleted them from their own trash, thanks to our admin console retention policies.
